Bianca Malin, DDS
Before we have a chance to meet in person, I’d like to tell you a little about myself and my dental philosophy. After graduating from Northwestern University in Evanston, I completed dental school at the University Of Illinois College of Dentistry. An elective General Practice Residency program at Loyola University Medical Center provided me with advanced training in general dentistry, oral surgery, and general medicine. I began practicing at a large downtown office with high volume and followed that up at a small cosmetic practice in Wilmette. I have been the proud owner of Smiling Patient Dental Care since 2004. The patients of this practice have become my friends over the years and I am truly honored to have the pleasure of treating so many wonderful people.
You can count on me and the friendly staff at Smiling Patient Dental Care to provide a stable and comfortable environment where you will enjoy the quality care that you deserve. I enjoy treating the entire family including children and adults.
Our office provides reconstructive and cosmetic dental procedures. Our facility is state-of-the-art. Need a crown? We can build it at one appointment with no impressions, no temporaries, and you’ll walk out with your final restoration at one appointment. Laser dentistry, an integral part of the practice for the last 8 years, means fillings are performed routinely without the need for anesthetic. We perform cosmetic gum surgery and periodontal surgery procedures with the laser. This allows me to perform many dental procedures without the post-operative discomfort associated with traditional surgical techniques. We now place and restore dental implants, for patients with missing teeth. We offer a variety of whitening options to best suit an individual, clear brace orthodontics, and laboratory service from the finest dental laboratories in the USA. I am excited about serving your needs and look forward to meeting you soon.

Alex’s passion for our making SPDC the best place to work and help patients have the best experience is invaluable.
His versatile backgrounds include computer systems integration, manufacturing engineering in the aerospace industry, photography, and construction.
Alex joined the SPDC office full time in 2006. Since then, we’ve invested over a million dollars implementing technologies to improve patient outcomes. We’ve implemented digital radiography for comfortable, high quality xrays. We retired thousands of paper charts for a sanitary environment with computerized charting. We’ve implemented 3D CBCT xray technology to see what we can’t see with regular xrays, digitally treatment plan implant placement, and to have an almost magic level of diagnostic ability when patients are in pain so we can offer the right choices to patients. We’ve been rebuilding teeth using CEREC technology for over 10 years! CEREC lets us make crowns at one appointment: No impressions (no goop!!!) or temporaries, and the final crown is made the same day. We invested in hard and soft tissue lasers: Imagine: Fillings without the need for anesthetic! As the team’s 3D printing guru, we are able to 3D print models, surgical guides, and other dental appliances right on site.
None of these investment are useful without a well trained, passionate team. We have a model of continuous improvement, and our team knows how much we value their input, contributions, communication skills, and dedication to our patients.
Alex knows he’s the luckiest guy in the world, and loves to be surrounded with his amazing wife Bianca and three children. When not working, Alex can either be found at a local ice rink coaching youth hockey or ‘livin’ the dream’ playing late at night adult hockey.
